Arkema, a major stakeholder in the Axelera competitiveness cluster
Three years after its foundation, the Axelera Chemicals and Environment competitiveness cluster has successfully passed its evaluation by the Ministry of Industry. While initiating R&D programs and connecting some 150 regional members, including large corporations, SMEs, and public research and training bodies, Axelera has, at the same time, fulfilled its international ambitions by signing four partnership agreements with European clusters. Axelera’s development strategy now focuses on five themes:
chemistry for societal issues;
protection of natural areas;
materials recyclability;
green chemistry;
the factory of the future.
Arkema’s researchers are involved in many of these R&D programs. In this way, Arkema can enhance its innovation potential alongside many industrial companies and academics in the Rhône-Alpes Region.
