Arkema’s contribution to sustainable development solutions

Through its many products already on the market and through the resolute commitment of its R&D in the design of materials and innovative processes, Arkema contributes to the development of solutions that meet the challenges of sustainable development:

• Conserving fossil fuel resources by increasing the proportion of plant-based raw materials, especially in the production of performance materials;
• Contributing to the expansion of new energy sources, particularly photovoltaic electricity, by developing materials that improve the efficiency and longevity of these cells;
• Designing the processes of the future – processes that consume less energy, are more respectful of the environment and use renewable raw materials;
• Offering solutions that reconcile society’s needs with environmental constraints, for instance, by developing next-generation fluorinated gases with a very low greenhouse impact.
